Where in the woods am I? Bald Mountain

Finally, snow has arrived. And for this week’s “Where am I” challenge, I’m actually going to give you some verbal hints.

Last Friday — that gloomy, snowy-rainy day — I decided to stick close to the Bangor area for my weekly hike. Visibility wasn’t superb, and I have a hard enough time getting around on a clear day.

While hiking up the wide trail, I followed tracks everywhere — mostly of snowshoe hares and squirrels — but didn’t get any of the little creatures on film, unfortunately.

At the top of the mountain, the wind and rain picked up and I was forced to descend rather quickly. The trail was steep and relatively smooth, so when I fell down in the snow and slid a distance on my bum, it was actually quite fun.

Here are some photos to help you out. Please guess where I am in the comment section below.
