After our first big Nor’easter of the season, I was eager to get out on my new snowshoes, even if I’d be battling a foot of powder. So I headed west, to a place that typically has more snow than the Bangor area, and explored a trail that most people traverse in the summer. The trail loops around two ponds (though I only had time to snowshoe to the first pond) and is surrounded by some well-known Maine mountains.
