Where in the woods am I? Flag Hill

Carolyn Newbert and Michael Sales won the “Where in the Woods Am I?” game for the Flag Hill in Orland in July 2013 given these verbal clues and the following gallery of photos:

Tis the season for ripe Maine blueberries and raspberries, and yesterday, I took a hike on trails that led me to plenty of both. Derek and Oreo joined me on the walk, which was a little less than 4.5 miles total, and all three of us enjoyed eating a few berries along the way. A variety of wildflowers were in bloom, including an abundance of black eyed Susan’s. By viewing the photos below, try and guess where we hiked. Our route included a few trails but only one hill. Leave your best guesses in the comment section at the bottom of the page. Winner gets an internet high five and a mention in the updated post. And if you’re interested in this dog-friendly walk, stay tuned for tomorrow’s “1-minute hike” video and writeup of the hike.
