Where in the woods am I?

Sheets of rain pelted the windshield of Fred the Forester on Friday evening as I drove into the Maine woods to sleep in a room filled with strangers (a.k.a. a bunkhouse) and pray for tamer weather come morning.

At 5 a.m., I could see the sun rising through the trees. A brisk wind pushed wisps of white clouds across the pale blue sky. It was a perfect day for hiking.

See if you recognize the trail I hiked — with several hiking buddies — by viewing the photo gallery below. Leave your best guesses in the comments section at the bottom of the page. Winner gets a high five and a mention in the update post! And if this trail looks interesting to you, stay tuned for tomorrow’s “1-minute hike” video and summary of the trail.
