Where in the woods am I? Sunkhaze

Scott Bennett won the “Where in the Woods Am I?” game for Oak Point Trail in Sunkhaze National Wildlife Refuge in February 2014 given these verbal clues and the following gallery of photos:

Time for Monday’s outdoor-related guessing game — which will be posted every other week from now on. On Saturday, I put on my snowshoes, grabbed some poles and set out over the crunchy snow to explore a nearby trail that’s great for both snowshoeing and cross-country skiing this time of year. Check out the photo gallery below and see if you recognize the trail. Leave your best guesses in the comment section at the bottom of the page. Winner gets a high five and a mention in the updated post. And be sure to stay tuned for tomorrow’s “1-minute hike” video and trail description.

A few clues: this trail isn’t too far from Bangor. Hunting is allowed on the property. Dogs are allowed, if on leash. And the hike is of the out-and-back variety, not a loop.
