The event is a great opportunity to explore the paved trails along the waterfront of Bangor and Brewer, which are perfect for walking, jogging or biking. The trails are wheelchair-friendly, stroller-friendly and dog-friendly!

For the special community day, Pulse Marketing has gifted the City of Bangor with five pollinator-friendly trees, to be planted at various spots around the city.

“Pollinators, including honey-bees, are in trouble,” wrote Bangor Land Trust President Lucy Quimby in an email about the gift. “We all rely on them for our food crops, so planting pollinator-friendly plants is a way to make these tiny and useful neighbors feel more at home here – another aspect of thinking of Bangor as habitat.”

This is the second Bangor-Brewer Trails Day, organized by the cities of Bangor and Brewer, as well as the Bangor Land Trust and Brewer Land Trust.
