Where in the woods am I? Gulf Hagas

Christene Berg, P.J. Laney, Colby Libby, Kenny Browning, Mark Dsr, Lisa Gorsline Romero, Carolyn Newbert, Eben Mann, Wanda Greatorex (via Facebook for Wanda and the following people), Allison Murdoch, Jeremy Perry, Melissa Hachey Cain, Gene Gilbert and Jeanette Matlock won the “Where in the woods am I?” game for Gulf Hagas near Brownville in June of 2015 given these verbal clues and the following gallery of photos:

The small parking area for the trailhead was full when Derek, Oreo (our dog) and I arrived on Saturday morning, so we parked on the shoulder of the gravel road, leaving plenty of room for logging trucks. See if you recognize the fairly popular Maine hike we went on by viewing the photos below. Leave your best guesses in the comment section at the bottom of the page. Winner gets a high five and a mention in the updated post. And as always, stay tuned for tomorrow’s “1-minute hike” video and summary of the trail.

Hint: This is actually a trail that I have hiked before for the “1-minute hike” series, but I felt the need to revisit it because it’s such a popular trail, and last time I hiked it, I became sick about a quarter of the way in and had to turn around. This time around, we hiked the entire trail.
