Where in the Maine woods am I? Indian Mountain

Jane Eckert Clark, Carolyn Newbert and Billy Barker (via email) won the “Where in the woods am I?” game for Indian Mountain near Greenville in July of 2015 given these verbal clues and the following gallery of photos:

My dog, Oreo, and I went on a little adventure on Friday. After driving for miles on rough gravel roads, we arrived at the trailhead, marked with a small wooden sign. Oreo was eager to get out of the car and into the woods, so I hurried to put on my hiking boots and put some final items into my pack; in went the water, snacks, a headlamp, my GPS and guidebook. (I already had a medical kit and other staple items in my pack.) I then sprayed myself and Oreo with natural bug repellent, and we hit the trail, Oreo pulling on his leash, helping me uphill.

See if you recognize this lesser-known mountain by viewing photos from our adventure below. Leave your best guesses in the comment section at the bottom of the page. Winner gets a high five and a mention in the updated post. And as always, if this trail interests you, stay tuned for tomorrow’s “1-minute hike” video and written summary of our trip. The videos are in chronological order.
