Where in the woods am I? Penobscot Mountain

Heidi Riggs, Brian Dempster, Ted Pearson, Carey Kish (in his own special way.. “Popover Pond”…), Jane Bromley Langley, Carolyn Newbert, Jen Patton, Chris Sewall, Elliot Woodbury and Tim Henderson all won the “Where in the Woods am I?” game for Penobscot Mountain in Acadia National Park in October 2015. They guessed the correct mountain by reading the clues and viewing the photo galley below! Some of them guessed at the bottom of the blog post in the comment section, some guessed on my Facebook post, and others send me emails. Great effort, everyone!

My friend Heather, who currently lives in Boston, drove north to visit her family in Maine this past weekend, and I persuaded her to join me (and Oreo) on a hike to enjoy the fall foliage. See if you recognize which mountain we explored by viewing the photo gallery below, then leave your best guesses in the comment section at the bottom of the page. (I know I’m very late at posting this guessing game this week, but what can I say? I was outside enjoying the amazing weather today!) As always, the winner gets a high five and a mention in the updated post. And if you like the looks of this particularly beautiful hike, stay tuned for the “1-minute hike” video and writeup I’ll be posting on it tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon.
