Liz True and Carolyn Newbert won the “Where in the woods am I?” game for Ferry Beach State Park in Saco in December 2015 given the following clues and photos:
I just got back from a trip to Chicago, so this week’s “Where in the woods am I?” is a day late. Also, this week’s 1-minute hike video will run on Wednesday (instead of today). Sorry about that, but I have to say, seeing my first of the Great Lakes, Lake Michigan, was well worth delaying my work week. I also visited Millennium Park, where I stood under the famous “Bean,” ate some amazing deep dish pizza at Gino’s, and attended the 20th Christkindlmarket Chicago, a Christmas-themed open-air market of traditional German and European crafts.
That all has nothing to do with this week’s “Where in the woods am I?” game, though.
To reach Chicago, I flew out of Boston. So on my drive to Boston on Friday, I took the opportunity to explore a trail network in southern Maine. See if you recognize the hiking location by viewing the photo gallery below. Winner gets a high five and a mention in the updated post. And as always, if you like the looks of this Maine outdoor locale, stay tuned for tomorrow’s “1-minute hike” video and trail description, which includes driving directions so you can check it out for yourself.
