Where in the woods am I? Piscataquis County Demonstration Forest

No one won the “Where in the woods am I?” game for the Piscataquis County Demonstration Forest in Williamsburg Township, just north of Brownville, on Dec. 28, 2015, based on the following clues and photos:

Though we haven’t had much snow so far this winter in Maine, I managed to find an abundance of it about a week ago in the woods north of Bangor. I almost needed to wear snowshoes, in fact. Don’t believe me? Check out the photos I took during my snowy outdoor adventure and see if you recognize what trail network I was exploring with my dog Oreo. Leave your best guess of the location in the comment section at the bottom of the page. Winner gets a high five and a mention in the updated post. And as always, stay tuned for tomorrow’s “1-minute hike” video and write-up about the trail network, which is great for hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing!

One clue: There are many colorful signs located along this trail that I did not include in the photo gallery because I think it would give the trail network away. You will notice some signs out of focus in the photos below.
